A unique, lightweight and versatile system for flooring and roofing with SIPs
This structurally insulated panel for floors is composed of a moulded sheet in expanded polystyrene which can be used for both flooring and roofing with reinforced concrete joists.
The EMMEDUE® floor panel is a shaped polystyrene sheet which can be used for flooring and roofing with the addition of reinforced steel joists and then finished in cast-in-place concrete.

The floor panel can be used for both flooring and roofing and provides advantages in term of reduced weight, insulation, and a reduction in assembly time.
On-site in-situ casting
The building system can be used in precast structures; onsite, in-situ cast structures; and on-site, in-situ spray concrete, depending on your project and needs.
No cranes required
The panels inherent lightness means you can carry it on site by hand, so no cranes are required, saving you both time and money.
Thermal efficiency
The system eliminates thermal bridging, which helps to reduce energy consumption by limiting the amount of heating and cooling required in a home.
Easy to handle with on-site tools
The system is easy to build using on-site tools, including apposite adjustable metal supports and aluminium bars or more traditional building site materials such as wooden boards or square timbers. To ensure static continuity to the structure the panels are connected to the rebars and this can be carried out using suitable equipment or basic site tools such as pliers.
Can SIPs panels be used as flooring?
Yes, SIPs can be used as flooring for a building. Flooring constructed from SIPs will be quick to build and give you a floor that has great thermal insulation, as well as, fantastic soundproofing qualities.
What are SIP floors?
SIP floors are Structurally Insulated Panels used for flooring. SIPs are eco-friendly and thermally efficient as well as being lightweight. Because they are lightweight they can reduce the time taken to install a floor compared to traditional flooring techniques which lower construction costs. The SIP flooring panels can be manufactured in a wide range of sizes and configurations depending on your project requirements.
